Hueman runs MediaPipe Face Landmarker entirely in the browser using WebAssembly. The camera frame never travels to a server — only a three-number LAB colour triplet is sent for matching. This is an architectural choice, not a policy setting.

Hueman samples cheek and nose-bridge pixels, converts them to LAB colour space, and classifies undertone before ranking shades. A warm NC30 and a cool NW30 are different shades — Hueman treats them that way. Delta-E distance below 5 on validated test sets.
